You Are Considered a Non-Degree Seeking Student if...

You’re taking classes without officially declaring a major and you aren’t working towards graduating with a degree. Non-degree seeking students are often fulfilling prerequisites, growing their expertise in a certain field, or just interested in learning something new.

Before You Begin

A non-degree seeking status means you will not qualify for on-campus housing (with the exception of and sponsored students), financial aid, or upper division courses without consent of the department. If you would like to make sure that this option is right for you, get in touch with us.

  • Students participating in a non-University of Arizona sponsored high school program must be at least 16 years old to apply as a non-degree seeking student. Exceptions may be granted with college approval and support.
